The Compostelle 45 association welcomes you
On the initiative of former pilgrims, a non-profit association was formed in 1999 -Les Amis de St Jacques dans le Loiret-Compostelle45.
The association is made up of men and women from a wide variety of backgrounds. The aim is to share and discover the experience of the journey, both in terms of architecture and the fraternity exchanged during encounters.

We suggest a route divided into five steps in the Loiret, starting from Etampes.

Au départ d'Etampes 27,9km
La vallée de la Juine et les cressoniéres.
- Autruy-sur-Juine / Aschéres-le-Marché 24km
La halle d'Aschéres le Marché; les paysages de Beauce; l'église de Faronville du XVIIe.
- Aschéres-le-Marché / Orléans 31,5km
La forêt domaniale d'Orléans; La cathédrale Sainte Croix; l'Hôtel Groslot; Le MOBE; Le Musée des Beaux-Arts.

The Via Turonensis (or Route of Tours) is the name of one of the pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela; starting from Paris, it takes just over a month to reach Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port at the foot of the Pyrenees.
